TRAVEL ADVISOR
Hey there pal! My name is Macie Brown and I live in Louisiana’s “red stick city”….Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Before moving my family to Baton Rouge with my husband for his job, I grew up in a little town that is rich in culture and celebrates a little famous crustacean better known as a crawfish. Growing up in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana has given my taste buds experience in finding flavorful foods, and the desire to celebrate any and every occasion.
I married my high school sweetheart and we started our little family. We have an 11-year-old daughter who keeps me up with the ever-changing times. And a 6-year-old son who has rocked my world the moment he was born. With a kid that has over 17 anaphylactic food allergies, I had to learn how to tone down these flavor filled taste buds and focus on making sure he was enjoying foods without feeling left out all the while still getting all of his nutrients. Funny how things work out.
My first trip to Disney was when I was only 2 years old. I don’t remember it but my mom has a photo that has always been a favorite of mine. I knew I loved Disney movies way more than the average person. I knew EVERY.SINGLE. WORD to The Lion King. I would watch Disney movies every day after school. My first real memory of Disney was in the year 2000 at my high school dance team nationals. I remember running the grounds with my friends and eating so much of the yummy food and of course the chocolate covered Mickey Rice Krispy Treats. It was these special moments when I knew that I wanted Disney to be a part of my life. How could I not? Everything about Disney made me feel happy and still does.
When we had kids and before my first born was one years old, we were in the parks on a regular basis. She was born in 2012 and we have been one time (or more) every year. Going to Disney World for the past 11 years has given me the opportunity to deeply explore and learn every inch of the parks. Watching documentaries, studying each park, visiting each resort and taking in all that I possibly can fit into each visit is exciting! I am confident I have mastered each park and have a ton of tips and tricks to make it a smooth but memorable experience. I have even been told, “I will never do Disney without you again, Macie!”
I now frequent Disneyland in California as well. My son who gets his food allergy treatments in Southern California opened those doors for me to be able to experience even more magic. I now know exactly how to manage food allergy options for food allergy guests in both Disneyland and Disney World and want to share my knowledge with you.
Making memories with my family is important to me. When I’m on a vacation, I’m planning the next one! I’ve officially become the vacation planner for everyone in my family and I love every second of it. If you’re looking to enjoy all the wonders Disney has to offer then I’d love to get the magic started up for you.
